The Peace Report Boys’ Player of the Week: Northwood (MD) junior attackman Jeffrey Vo
Powered by Rock Lacrosse Club
Junior attackman Jeffrey Vo of Northwood (MD) has been named this past weeks Peace Report Boys’ Player of the Week. Vo had a tremendous week for the Gladiators compiling a total of 17 points in two games.
In an 12–11 loss to Einstein on March 27, Vo scored five goals and had two assists. Then on Thursday, the uncommitted junior scored four and had six helpers.
Vo leads his team in points (28), goals (16), and assists (12).
Jeffery is a relentless player with a non stop motor. He is the energy on our offensive end. What he lacks in size he makes up for in toughness and love of the game. I mean he takes some beating but day in and day out he is ready to ball. Jeff is only a junior and is uncommitted, he had a breakout year last year with 45 points. This year we were able to put more goal scorers around him and he does a great job facilitating the ball to them. Im really excited this year for both Jeff and this Northwood team. Just about all the Northwood kids didn’t start playing till they were in high school including Jeff. Along with soccer Jeff plays year round lacrosse with Maryland Extreme and really spends a lot of his off season just improving all aspect of his game. — Coach Jim Potts
Northwood is currently in second place in the Montogomery County South standings and will play Kennedy on April 4.
