Brendan Grimes

Grimes had a big week in his MIAA-A conference debut, scoring a combined 11-goals.

The Ohio State University commit scores five-goals on Tuesday as Boys’ Latin defeated Severn, 16–11. Several of those goals helped spark a five goal run to give BL a size-able lead in the second half.

And then on Friday, Grimes dished in six goals including the eventual game winner with 11:32 left in the fourth quarter to lift Boys’ Latin to a 11–10 victory over Mount St. Joseph.

“Brendan has done a tremendous job of stepping up and taking advantage of every opportunity,” said BL head coach Brian Farrell. “He makes progress every day and is playing with great confidence right now. His size and skill make him a tough match up. He plays very well within our offense and has a high lacrosse IQ. Brendan will be someone we are looking to produce moving forward.”

Boys’ Latin is off to a 2–0 start in the MIAA A-conference season and are 8–3 overall.
