Glenelg girls lacrosse had a huge win this past week over Howard County rival, Marriotts Ridge. The Gladiators won 10–7.
In the victory, goaltender Maddie McSally was a brick wall. Saving a total of 13 shots.
10 games played 50 goals against and 59 saves. 63% vs the Mustangs.
“We play a high pressure defense so (Maddy) doesn’t see a lot of shots but the ones she does are right on the door step an Maddie is always up for the challenge,” said Glenelg head coach Nicole Trunzo. “(She is a) true competitor with a great attitude and work ethic. She also has 7 caused turnovers by intercepting passes.@
McSally is Committed to Mount St Mary’s and is apart of Heros 2018 club program.
Glenelg, the defending 3A/2A Maryland State champs, is undefeated thru 10-games this season. The Gladiators have impressive victories over Severna Park, Dulaney (defending 4a/3a State Champions), and IAAM A-conference powerhouse, Notre Dame Prep.
