Ryan Drenner 2X USILA All American, 2016 CAA Player of the Year, Scholar All American, MLL Attack — Florida Launch — Assistant Coach York College

The winter skill sessions are designed to gear up for your outdoor season. The staff will be stressing individual offensive play such as shooting, finishing and close quarters stick protection and will end with 2 man plays, pick and rolls etc. The individual defensive techniques will provide a solid foundation of footwork, body position, when/where and how to check and how to defend the pick game. We will implement training techniques that will help players create better movement on and off the ball with end to end defense to offense transition.

Session Instructors:

Ryan Drenner: Asst. Coach York College:Ryan is a 2017 graduate of Towson University where he won three Colonial Athletic Conference Championships, was the 2016 CAA Player of the Year, and also earned the 2017 Towson University Athlete of the Year. Drenner is a two-time USILA All-American and a USILA Scholar All-American. Professionally, Drenner started on the prolific attack for the Florida Launch in his rookie campaign leading the team to a berth in the league semi-finals.Dan Kaplan; Head Coach Rock PA 2019 ELITE: Coach Kaplan is a graduate of York College where he was a 2-year starter on a team that moved up the NCAA rankings to become a perennial Top 6 DIII program. Coach Dan is currently the Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at York College. Coach Kaplan is an alum of the Rock Lacrosse program, and has served for the past 4 years as a summer coaching intern in the program. Dan Kaplan is a graduate of Howard HS, one of MD’s top public HS programs

Ryan Drenner’s Scoring and Skillssession are designed to help you develop individually and gear up for your outdoor season. Ryan and his staff will be stressing individual offensive play such as shooting , finishing and close quarters stick protection while. learning how to create separation to get your hands fess and either feed or score !!!.

No matter what position a player plays in outdoor lacrosse, these sessions will enhance his game and gain better stick handling skills.

Congratulations to Hugh Donovan (Head Coach Rock 2020 ELITE — Baltimore) and Ryan Drenner (Rock Lacrosse Skills Instructor & Alum) for joining the coaching staff at York College.

Congratulations to Marty Mullen (Rock -PA 2020 ELITE Coach) for joining the coaching staff at Elizabethtown College.

We are proud to welcome on board the following new Rock Lacrosse staff members.

Dan Kaplan — Assistant Coach York College, joins our program as Head Coach of Rock-PA 2020 ELITE team. Coach Kaplan is an alum of the Rock Lacrosse program, where he has served the last 4 years as a coaching intern. Coach Kaplan joined the staff at York College last year.

Shawn Burke — Head Coach Towson High School — Former Head Coach at NJCAA CCBC Essex, one of the winningest coaches in NJCAA history, multiple NJCAA Region Championships and National Championship runs. Coach Burke also coached at Howard Community College. Teams were perennially ranked Top 3 Nationally during most of his tenure at both programs. Coach Burke is an alum of UMBC.

Rock Lacrosse fielded Baltimore’s first USBOXLA high school teams this winter, adding traditional Box Lacrosse teams, instruction to the annual schedule for our participants.

Rock Lacrosse-Baltimore facilitated a merger with Bitmore Lacrosse, headed by Brendan Mundorf (HOF, Team USA, MLL, NLL, USILA DI All America). Coach Mundorf joined the executive staff at Rock Lacrosse and 2021 team(s) were added to the Rock Lacrosse — Baltimore line-up. Rock will field a 2021 AA ELITE and 2021 AA team this spring/summer.

Founded in 2005 Rock Lacrosse has been providing advanced skills development platform and club teams for youth and high school players in the Mid Atlantic. Rock’s core mission is focused solely on putting our players into a competitive and challenging development journey that will lead to tangible improvement and comprehensive student athlete development.

Rock’s youth focus is to provide middle school lacrosse players a platform that will teach them fundamental core skills required to develop at an advanced level, while preparing them to become impact high school lacrosse players.

Our high school focus is to prepare our players to play NCAA lacrosse while supporting NCAA recruiting process and efforts. Rock offers skills development/team platforms for 3rd thru 5th grade lacrosse players, and club team platforms for 6th thru 11th grade student athletes.

Rock boasts one of the nations top NCAA Player commitment record, during the 2017 NCAA season Rock will field 184players on NCAA DI,DII, DIII rosters, 83 on DI rosters with 6 Pre-Season DI All Americans.
