Gilman muscles out a W over Georgetown Prep
Gilman is off to a 1–0 start to the season after battling D.C. rival, Georgetown Prep to a 9–8 victory.
The Greyhounds were led by Sam King who had a hat-trick and four helpers. Goalie Noah Klein was sensational in cage coming up with 13 saves. The battle at the faceoff X belonged to Gilman’s Nick Tussing who went 12-for -14.
Gilman will host Hill Academy (Ont.) on Thursday.

Lakers wins home opener, 12–9 against Gonzaga
Boys’ Latin improved to 1–1 on the season on Tuesday with a 12–9 victory over a tough Gonzaga (D.C.) program.
After opening the season with a tough loss on the road last week against Haverford (Pa.) coach Brian Farrell’s team came amped up for Tuesday’s contest.
The Lakers has mounted a five-goal lead at halftime. And finished with three players with hat-tricks.
BL now heads for South Beach on Friday as the Lakers will do battle against Oxbridge Academy and St. Andrews.
BL made 11 saves and JT Morton was 10–22 at faceoffs.
