Adjusting to the new normal at Summer Lax events
The summer lacrosse season officially got underway this weekend with events all over the country. For many, this was the first time for the players to play and spectators to watch an actual game in over three months.
Many years from now we will hopefully look back at 2020 as the year the COVID-19 pandemic changed how we live our lives outside of our homes. But it it definitely taught us to appreciate and not take the game of lacrosse for granted.
COVID-19 shut everything down this past spring, leaving high school seniors without a final spring season of their careers.
The Coronavirus is still here and cases continue to rise. But US Lacrosse has given the greenlight for events to happen this summer while maintaining social distancing and other precautions.

It will definitely be something to continue to watch and monitor throughout the Summer. Especially, handshake lines after games and celebrations after goals.
