PLB Q&A with LIAM QUINN
Downingtown STEM Academy (PA) – 2022 DEFENSEMAN – CLUB: PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM – COMMITTED TO SAINT JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY
THANK YOU’S
First and foremost, I would like to thank God. He’s always been there for me, and will always be there for me. Second, I would like to thank my family. Without my parent’s and brother’s support, I would not be where I am today. Third I would like to thank my coaches. Your guy’s support and belief in me has transformed me into the player I am today. Last, I would like to thank my teammates. It has been amazing playing with you guys, and you guys drive me to be a better player every day.

PEACE LAX BLOG: What made you choose this school?
LIAM QUINN: Three main things made me choose Saint Joe’s: distance, the program, and the coaching staff. First off, it was very nice that SJU was very close to home. This would be nice so I could see my family and friends, and have them watch games. Second, the program is only improving. If you look at the program’s history, it has consistently improved every year. Last, and most importantly, it was the people. The coaching staff really made the decision very easy from the get go, and their belief in me sealed the deal.

PLB: How has the COVID-19 Pandemic affected you?
LQ: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected me in many ways, but I would say the most prominent way Corona has affected me was school. I have not been able to see many of my friends face to face in a long time, but Corona also has its benefits. I would say the most positive thing that came from Corona is my ability to work out more. Because I had a lot of free time on my hands, I could dedicate it to getting bigger, faster, and stronger.
PLB: How would you describe your recruiting process?
LQ: I would describe my recruiting process as unexpected. From when I was a little kid, I’ve always had a plan. Part of that plan was going to a specific prestigious school that was not Saint Joe’s. However, when I had my first call with the coaching staff, my opinion quickly started to shift. Before I knew it, I decided I wanted to go to Saint Joe’s, and realized this school was an amazing fit for me.
