PEACE LACROSSE BLOG: Why did you choose the college or University you committed to?

Jake Freebery: The Coaches and the City. Coach Wray, Coach Meehan and Coach Horowitz are great guys and they have the program heading in the right direction. I want to be part of that. And to play in Philly, close to home – St. Joe’s was the perfect fit for me.

PLB: How has the COVID-19 Pandemic affected you?

JF: I was bummed to have lost out on my sophomore season, but I did get to spend more time working on my game and lifting weights and spending time with my family. 

PLB: How would you describe your recruiting process?

JF: Surprisingly smooth and quick. Coach Wray and his staff made it an easy decision to commit to my dream school.

PLB: What type of sticks do you play with?

JF: Maverik shaft and (Optik) head.

PLB: Favorite Quote? 

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. 

PLB: What do you do for fun when not playing lax? 

JF: Surf, bodysurf, root for the Sixers. 

PLB: Once Coronavirus is over where would you like to visit?

JF: Hawk Hill
