Gulls remain perfect as Salisbury beats York (Pa) 13-10

#2 Salisbury traveled to York (Pa) on Sunday and Seagulls came away victorious with a 13-10 win.

York opened the game with back to back scores. But the turnovers began to pile up (24 total) for the Spartans. The Gulls took advantage and stormed out to a 8-4 halftime lead.

York made it interesting down the stretch but Salisbury never gave up the lead.

Cross Ferrara and Isaac Thrasher both had hat-tricks for Salisbury. While Jarret Bromwell had four assists.

Salisbury capitalized on two back to back extra man goals by Bromwell and Jack Dowd in the second quarter to take a 5-2 lead.

York found momentum towards the end of the half with goals from Ben Mayer and Dylan Wolf.

Mayer would score to open the third quarter. But Salisbury would win the faceoff leading to another goal by Thrasher which was followed by two more unanswered goals to make it an 11-5 Seagulls lead.

Salisbury improves to 7-0 on the season and will face Geneseo on March 16.

York (2-2) now moves onto the Mustang Classic this weekend at Stevenson University. The Spartans will face Franklin and Marshall and turn around the next day and play Bates.
